Hinton Nordic Centre - Jackrabbits: Kids Free Ski

Jackrabbits is the Hinton Nordic Centre’s fun and welcoming ski program designed especially for kids. Families are invited to bring children ages 2–10 to try cross-country skiing in a supportive, playful environment. Adults are welcome to join in the fun!

This session is a great introduction to skiing, focused on movement, confidence, and enjoying time outdoors during Winter Magic Festival.

Free equipment rentals will be available throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Curious about biathlon? This beginner-friendly session at the Hinton Nordic Centre offers a safe and exciting introduction to the sport, combining cross-country skiing with target shooting.

No experience is required, and participants will use EcoAim optical rifles, which are quiet, safe, and involve no live ammunition. This hands-on activity is open to ages 8 and up and is a great way to try something new during Winter Magic Festival!
